A young girl was recovered safely after a vehicle she was travelling in was stolen in Samaria (the northern West Bank). The child was discovered inside the Palestinian village of Nabi Elias following an intensive search operation.
The search lasted approximately 20 minutes and involved Israeli Defence Force personnel alongside members of the girl’s family. Despite the frightening circumstances, the incident concluded without harm to the child, who was reunited with her mother.
The incident highlighted security concerns in the region, where such vehicle thefts occasionally occur. Israeli security forces regularly operate in areas of the West Bank to address such incidents and maintain order in the territory.
