The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit reported that firing was detected overnight Friday against forces operating east of the Yellow Line in northern Gaza Strip.
In response to the incident, the IDF launched a counter-attack in the area. According to the military, there were no casualties among Israeli forces.
The IDF stated: “This constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip. The IDF takes seriously the attempts by terror organisations in Gaza to advance and execute terror attack plans against Israeli civilians and troops.”
The incident marks a potential escalation in tensions along the ceasefire line and represents a direct breach of existing agreements.
