The Israeli Defence Force is studying a framework to deploy international forces for counter-terrorism operations in Gaza, modelled on arrangements in southern Lebanon. The plan, coordinated with the United States, would begin in areas outside the Yellow Line, effectively maintaining IDF presence in the territory. The cabinet approved a pilot international operation in Rafah approximately a month ago.
