A young child has been seriously injured after being struck by a reversing vehicle in the parking area of a residential building in Jerusalem. The toddler sustained a severe head injury and was transported to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital while undergoing resuscitation efforts.

Magen David Adom paramedics reported finding the child unconscious, without pulse or spontaneous breathing upon arrival at the scene. Police have opened an investigation into the incident.

The exact circumstances of the accident are still being established as authorities continue their enquiries.
