The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced on Saturday that it will provide security for Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Sar (Right) party, beginning Sunday morning through a private security company. The security will be directly managed and operated by Unit 730 of the Shin Bet.
This represents a significant shift in Eisenkot’s security arrangements during the election campaign. Previously, Eisenkot operated without Shin Bet involvement in his personal security during the campaign period.
Both Walla and Ynet reported the announcement, with Eisenkot’s party confirming the arrangement involved a private security firm that will be directly controlled by the Shin Bet’s Unit 730.
