Israeli average wage rises but employment falls sharply in August

Israel’s average wage continued climbing across the economy in August, yet tens of thousands of jobs disappeared compared to July, signalling mixed labour market conditions. At the lower end, domestic workers earn just 6,313 shekels monthly, with wage growth rates now slowing across multiple sectors.
