Israeli security and political officials have not yet received clarifications regarding agreements between Trump and Netanyahu concerning the halt of American security assistance to Israel at the end of the year, according to Ynet reporting.

An Israeli official familiar with the matter stated: ‘I don’t think the Americans have answers at this stage given everything happening there.’ The announcement has created uncertainty across Israel’s defence establishment and political echelon about the precise terms and timeline of any aid suspension.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has remained silent on the matter, while attention turns to whether incoming Defence Minister Eisenkot will clarify the situation. The lack of official communication from either government has fuelled speculation about the status of crucial US military support to Israel.
