Jordan reported a fatal stabbing attack against security forces in Amman near the Sri Lankan embassy, resulting in one death and one injury. The attacker was arrested. According to reports, the attacker allegedly attempted to seize weapons.

In a separate incident over the weekend, Turkey reported that one of its soldiers was killed in an unusual exchange of fire on the border with Iran. Turkish authorities have opened a joint investigation into the incident.

Both incidents represent security concerns in the Middle East region and have prompted official investigations by the respective governments.
