"We waited for this day": Lilian's wedding, who was seriously injured in the army, was canceled due to the situation in the south

Lilian Yondov and Eliav Levy, a couple who have been together for eight years, were supposed to get married today (Tuesday) in their "Aliva" hall in the city where they live, Ofakim. They planned the wedding for almost a year, but now in light of the security situation and the directives of the Home Front Command, they were informed that the wedding was cancelled.

"I woke up at 4 in the morning, saw alerts about the opening of shelters and heard airplanes, I waited until morning to call the hall, at first we received very vague answers and later they announced that the event could not be held," Lilian tells Maariv. "I am currently in Be'er Sheva in the villa where I was supposed to get ready for the wedding. As soon as we were told that it was impossible to get married there, we looked for a hall in the center where we could hold the event and at the moment we were unable to find one."

"I am very disappointed," she admits. "We have been waiting for this day a lot. Two years ago I was very seriously injured in the army and by the time I returned to be half the person I was and I had already planned the event and it feels like it was taken from our fingers. It is not easy, it is very frustrating. I hope we will be able to find a solution."
