Following a serious case of violence, in which a student attacked a teacher with a fire extinguisher, classes at the "Alkarma" school in Haifa will be suspended for two hours and will begin tomorrow at 10:00 am. The details of the incident show that the student sprayed the teacher and some of the children in the class with the whip after he got angry at the teacher's demand to bring a tardy permit to the janitor.
The Teachers' Union strongly condemns any type of violence against teaching staff. We will not go over this in silence and will use all the means at our disposal to eradicate violence in the education system.
