Member of Knesset Almog Cohen (Otzma Yehudit) expressed criticism today (Thursday) against the tweet of the party's chairman and Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir, even though the latter had earlier attacked the President of the United States Joe Biden. This, during an interview held in 103FM.
Ben Gabir tweeted in English: "Hamas loves Biden"; Herzog outraged: "Irresponsible"

"Minister Ben Gabir is the chairman of the party. I wouldn't tweet it, but everyone will say what they think is right and everyone will take responsibility for their actions," he noted. However, he emphasized: "We do not have a future, for us it is not an orange-colored dictatorship. It's OK. Although, again, I wouldn't tweet it."
He also sought to clarify that he opposes this move by Biden: "I tweeted a different tweet and said thank you to the president for his firm, unreserved stance during this period and that true friendship is measured precisely when it is difficult and I asked to recalculate a route regarding the specific arms shipment. These are not arms shipments, it is not Embargo forbid, but a specific delivery."

In conclusion, he claimed that his current relationship with Ben Gabir is normal, this after several disagreements between them in the past: "There are always differences of opinion. I think it's actually a healthy thing, certainly in a prosperous democracy like the State of Israel. Thank God, the relationship is perfectly fine. I didn't know This tweet, I was not part of it. It's important to put things in proportion, President Biden is in a very, very tough and brutal election campaign against former President Trump, and a campaign is the nature of a campaign, everyone speaks to the electorate they think belongs to them."
