British fighter jets deployed to Saudi Arabia as Houthi attacks intensify; 73 killed in militant strike on training base

Breaking

The United Kingdom is significantly escalating military support to Saudi Arabia by deploying RAF Typhoon fighter jets to help counter ongoing Houthi attacks, according to reports Tuesday. British Defence Secretary stated that the UK would not attack the Houthis directly, but rather provide air defence support for Saudi cities.

The deployment comes as Yemen-based Houthi militants continue deadly attacks on Saudi territory. In a particularly devastating strike, 73 personnel were killed in an attack on a training base operated by pro-Saudi government forces fighting the militants in Yemen.

The increased British military involvement reflects growing international concern about regional security and the impact of the Houthi campaign on civilian and military infrastructure in the Arabian Peninsula.
