Cyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 44

A 30-year-old man has been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle whilst cycling on Highway 44 near Nir Tzvi in central Israel on Monday afternoon. Paramedics and medics from Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s emergency ambulance service, provided initial medical treatment at the scene before transporting him to Assaf Harofeh Medical Centre. The cyclist sustained significant head and limb injuries from the collision. He was taken to hospital in serious condition, where medical staff will continue his treatment. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation, though it occurred on one of Israel’s major north-south routes.
