Disaster in the north: Tal Ben Yosef was killed in the crash of the light plane in the Upper Galilee

Tal Ben Yosef, 54 years old, was killed in a light plane crash today (Monday) in an open area between Tuba Zangaria and Elifelt in the Upper Galilee. Another 30-year-old man was fatally injured in the plane crash. Paramedics from the MDA Hezla Air helicopter that landed at the scene of the incident gave medical treatment to the two pilots and another passenger who were trapped and evacuated them to the hospital. Later, as mentioned, Ben Yosef was pronounced dead. Police forces arrived at the scene, the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

We noticed the pilot and a passenger trapped," they added, "We realized that very complex rescue operations were required and the firefighters would not be able to reach the scene with the fire engines. We coordinated with the center to launch firefighters to the landing pad and our helicopter, a Med helicopter." We continued with medical treatment until the firefighters arrived and when the injured man was rescued we transferred him to our helicopter and evacuated him to the hospital in a serious and unstable condition. The second injured person, who was unconscious, was rescued later, but his injury was fatal and his death was pronounced on the ground by a doctor.
