The Ministry of Justice confirmed this morning (Monday) that liquidation procedures have been initiated for Ra'am associations, following cooperation with associations declared to be linked to terrorist organizations. In response, the Ra'am party claimed: "The association acted according to the law, it is about extreme right-wing activists who tried to thwart our entry into the coalition."

In the last few months, the Associations and Civil Service Unit at the Corporations Authority carried out supervision in the case of the Islamic Association for Orphans and the Needy and the Association for Humanitarian Actions. Following findings that came to light in the inspection procedures, concerns arose about improper conduct. In particular, concerns arose that the associations transferred funds or cooperated with organizations outside of Israel that were declared as terrorist organizations, fear of using assets not to promote the goals of the association and more.
In a statement on behalf of the Non-profits and Civil Service Unit at the Corporations Authority, it was stated that "In light of the above, the unit notified the non-profits of a notice before taking liquidation procedures in their case, by virtue of the provision of Section 50(b) of the Non-profit Associations Law. Also, the registry of associations decided to refuse the associations' requests that they be granted a proper management permit for the year 2024. The associations were given the opportunity to respond to the findings detailed in the report as well as to the notice given in their case until 5/6/24, and as long as they do not do so, the registry will apply to the court for an order to dissolve the associations ".
Aid 48 stated that "contrary to the claims circulated yesterday by interested political parties, Aid 48 was not dissolved nor was any request of this kind submitted to the court. The Registrar of Associations sent the association a letter with a request for clarification on a number of issues and the association will cooperate with the registrar's inspection and forward to him Full answers and documents, which will prove beyond any doubt that the association's activities were in accordance with the law and the rules of proper management. This is a campaign of persecution for a clear political goal of thwarting any possibility of a political partnership between Arabs and Jews by highlighting humanitarian work done with the knowledge of all the relevant parties."
The Ra'am party responded to the Ministry of Justice's decision to disband the Ra'am associations because they cooperated with terror-related associations, and wrote in a statement: "The same parties who knowingly fueled Hamas with suitcases of dollars and neglected the safety of all Israeli citizens, Jews and Arabs, are now being treated with accusations and lies for to run away from their responsibility for the disaster and because of cynical political interests."
They further claimed and added: "Since the negotiations began on the possible entry of RAM into the coalition, a continuous and venomous campaign has been waged against us by extreme right-wing elements, with the aim of thwarting any chance of the political integration of the Arab citizens in the country. This is done on the back of a humanitarian aid association that operates with the knowledge and cooperation of all the authorized bodies in the country. We have no doubt that the association will prove that it acted according to the law."
Otzma Yehudit said following the decision: "Unlike many, we were not at all surprised by the publications about Ra'am, we didn't need more proof to understand and know – the Ra'am party and Mansor Abbas work in full cooperation with associations that encourage and support terrorism. We have already called it out So when Bennett and Lapid formed a coalition with them, and today everyone sees that we were right. The Ra'am party has no right to exist even for one more day in the Israeli Knesset."
We warned and cried out about the connection between the Ra'am party and Mansour Abbas and terrorism, a connection that today receives official confirmation.
We knew about it for sure and based our opposition to the establishment of a government that relies on them. We acted in front of the Corporations Authority, which did an exceptionally professional job.

After that, the Ra'am Party and Aid Association 48 filed a libel suit for NIS 300,000 against Network 13 and Ila Hasson, for the article they published in which they claimed a supposed connection to the terrorist organization: "False publication that resulted in blatant incitement, which is part of a campaign aimed at bringing about the fall of the government ", Delivered.
