Jordanian security officer killed in planned terrorist attack in Amman

Breaking

A Jordanian officer was killed and another wounded in a stabbing attack in Amman on Thursday, according to the Jerusalem Post. Preliminary investigations by Jordanian authorities indicated the attacker had intended and planned to carry out a ‘terrorist attack’ against public security personnel.

The suspect has been arrested and is in custody. Jordanian security directorate officials characterised the incident as a deliberate, premeditated attack targeting security forces rather than a spontaneous act of violence.

The attack highlights ongoing security concerns in the region, with Jordan’s security forces continuing operations to prevent such incidents.
