Tonight (Sunday) the singer Maya Buskila will marry (for the third time, but who's counting) to the chosen one of her heart who may be peaceful. As usual, we did a serious scan on her wedding dress and the overall look and we have to say that even though it's the third time, it's the best.
Maya wore a dress designed by champion designer Alon Livna, who recently dresses many of the brides in Bizza , and we caught up with him for a short interview about the successful product – the Buskila wedding dress, which he is also obviously pleased with.
"As we all know this is Maya's third wedding" Alon Livna tells Maariv, "but as she says it is her most exciting and most amazing wedding and she is more excited about it than she has been at all the weddings."
We tried to understand where the idea for the dress came from, and in this context Alon shared with us "Maya and I met, we know the industry and she asked me for a dress that has a bit of a Victorian vision, a bit of a period, but that really speaks fashion. So we went for a strapless bodice with bones and curves, which ended in a lacey way, really a bit of a Victorian shape, with open edges both at the neckline and at its connection with the skirt.'
"The skirt is relatively puffy from silk wallpaper fabric and the bodice is also from the same type of fabric. We really wanted to create some kind of look that is between period and timeless even though it is also very fashionable now this look. For this we ordered a hinoma with real vintage lace, that is, we really went and looked for lace that is vintage and created a hinoma of three floors, something very vintage to really create a look that is a kind of combination of old and new.
Designer Sagi Dehari was responsible for the hair and makeup artist Ortal Elimelech.
Just last December, Buskila was interviewed by TMI and revealed how much her partner supported her during the difficult period of the war when she said: "I took this war very hard. For the first two weeks I was quite a zombie, luckily my partner took over the house, because I was crying, in bed and with Tranquilizers. The anxieties are back big time."
