The Israel Defence Force and Shin Bet announced Friday that they conducted an overnight strike destroying two Hamas military weapons storage facilities located in the Shati refugee camp and near Gaza City.

According to the joint statement, the facilities contained dozens of weapons including RPG launchers, explosives, rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, grenades and ammunition magazines. The operations targeted the military wing of Hamas and were carried out as security forces remain deployed throughout the Gaza Strip.

The strikes form part of ongoing Israeli military operations against Hamas infrastructure in the enclave.
