An Iranian delegation has travelled to Qatar, though conflicting reports emerged about the purpose of the mission. While some reports suggested the delegation would conduct indirect negotiations with Americans in Doha, Iran’s TASNIM news agency denied this, stating the delegation would not be engaging in talks with US officials.

TASNIM confirmed that an Iranian delegation is indeed travelling to Qatar but explicitly stated it would not participate in indirect negotiations with the United States, contradicting earlier reporting by Al-Arabiya Al-Jadeed.

The diplomatic movement comes amid reports that Qatar has tabled a fresh proposal in what may represent the final round of negotiations between the parties. The conflicting accounts underscore the opacity and complexity of ongoing diplomatic channels in the region.
