IDF concludes controversial Hebron operation after terror probe and forced evacuations

Breaking

The IDF announced the conclusion of a focused operation in Hebron, during which forces conducted hundreds of searches and detained dozens of suspects in the neighbourhood associated with Hamas supporters. The operation resulted in the confiscation of four weapons and the demolition of homes belonging to operatives responsible for the fatal attack at Judea Junction approximately two weeks prior.

A petition filed against the operation alleges that troops took over civilian homes and converted them into military positions, demolished civilian buildings, and required traders to remove goods from their businesses without formal notification. The IDF stated that extensive counter-terrorism infrastructure was dismantled and preparations were made for continued counter-terrorism operations in Judea and Samaria.

While the IDF did not issue a formal operational conclusion announcement, military sources confirmed the completion of the targeted activity, though the operation drew criticism for its methods and scope of civilian disruption.
