The Israeli Defence Force has raised alarm over a series of operational accidents that have resulted in three soldiers’ deaths within two weeks across multiple frontlines, including northern Gaza and the Litani River region in Lebanon.
Military officials have expressed concern about what they describe as a “defensive routine” and deteriorating safety standards among forces. The repeated incidents suggest fatigue and reduced alertness among troops who have been stationed on defensive lines for extended periods.
The deaths have prompted an internal review of safety protocols and working conditions for soldiers operating along the extended defensive positions. Military leadership has warned that prolonged deployment in defensive positions invites enemy threats and lowers force readiness and vigilance levels among combat personnel.
