Illuminate the capital city: it's time to go on a night tour of Jerusalem

Touring Jerusalem at night is a magical experience that reveals the beauty of the city in a completely new light. After dark, the illuminated landmarks, ancient streets and bustling markets create a mesmerizing atmosphere. With a knowledgeable guide or on your own, you can explore the hidden corners of the old city, soak up the atmosphere of the Western Wall, and enjoy the lively nightlife. From the peaceful serenity of the Mount of Olives to the bustling energy of Mahane Yehuda Market, a night tour of Jerusalem promises unforgettable moments and a deeper appreciation for this eternal city.

And now, the Ministry of Jerusalem and Israel's Tradition has decided to fund illuminated night tours of the city's sites. The tours will take place in the months of September-December on Mondays and Thursdays, starting at 20:00. The tours will go through about 30 illuminated sites throughout the city and will cost NIS 40 per participant.

The tours take place in a tourist bus that will go through the following places: the Windmill in Mishkanim Shananim (meeting, guidance and easy walking), the King David Hotel (first stop where you get on the bus), the YMCA building, David's Nebula Fountain, France Square Fountain, the Israel Museum and the Book Hall , the Knesset, the String Bridge, Sergey Hostel, the Church of the Holy Trinity, Notre Dame de Jerusalem, the Church of San Salvador, the New Gate, the Nablus Gate, Augusta Victoria, Marina Magdalena, the Church of the Ascension, Yad Avshalom Mount of Olives, the Opal, the Gate of the Ashpots, The Communication Canal on Mount Zion, Tower of David.

You can get on and off the bus at 3 different stops: the King David Hotel, the Royal Wing Hotel (Ramada), Derech Bar-Lev (in front of the Grand Court Hotel), and you can also get off at the Russian Square and the Western Wall. During the purchase process, you select the boarding point for the tour and receive an exact address for the boarding station you choose.

To date, 12 monuments have been illuminated in the Jerusalem Development Authority's (JDA) site lighting project, the latest of which is the 7 Arches Hotel in Rosh Zeitim. The project to illuminate the monuments in the city is being promoted in cooperation with the Jerusalem Municipality, and as part of it, plans and works are being promoted to illuminate other monuments throughout the city.
