The Israeli actress and model Yael Groveglass , who broke through in Israel and has an international career, celebrated her 39th birthday this week.
Whether it was when she was Ginny in "The Island", Eli Sharon in "The Foxes" or Petra Solano in the American series "Jane the Virgin" – Grobles always looked excellent. In honor of her birthday, we decided to go back to her best looks and learn four lessons from her that you must apply.
Effortless presence
Let's start with the basics – a lesson that each of us should know: a black dress, and not necessarily a small one – makes all the difference. Have no idea what to wear? A black dress will give you presence, without even making an effort.
To create interest in a boring basic black look, without adding a bold color or a striking accessory, try to find a dress with a different and interesting cut, asymmetrical or with a prominent texture.
Simple and easy
Overalls – it may be annoying at times and difficult to go to the bathroom with, but it definitely gives a respectable performance and is suitable for a variety of events. Whether it's a birthday, a family event or just a party with friends – adopt the overall as your best friend for the warm season.
Remember: try to find an overall with a tie in the back or with a narrow cut at the waist. With no way to cinch the waist, overalls can make your body look more rectangular – and less flattering.
Need empowerment? A trouser suit is the best answer
It's no secret that pantsuits make us feel more empowered. The meticulous outfit, which can instantly become light when you change the type of fabric of the shirt underneath, makes us feel stronger. The pantsuit has a long history, and we may get to that in another article, but for now – let's accept that a pantsuit is a wardrobe staple, and there is no question why Grobbels wore it to a female empowerment brunch, somewhere in 2018.
Chic or trick
At the WIF Max Mara Face of the Future ceremony, then in 2017, Grobles arrived the most chic on the black carpet in a red satin shirt that matched the shade of the lipstick. For another event, Grobles arrived in a simple teal block, which looked stunning.
And what is the secret? Color coordination with skin colors. Grobles has learned the appropriate and flattering colors to color and tone her skin, so a look that can look simple and boring, on her will look "wow".
Our skin tones range from warm (yellow/green base) to cold (pink/blue base). Some people have a neutral skin tone, one that works well with both warm and cool undertones. How do you know which colors suit you?
Take cloth of different colors and put them on your chest, under a clean face. Notice how each color reflects on your face when you look in the mirror. Does it make you look more radiant, or paler? Does it bring out the redness in your face?
A cold undertone will be flattered mainly by grays, blues, greens and purples. Warm skin tones will be more flattered by warmer colors, such as browns, oranges, yellows and greens. However, you should always try to see how each color looks next to your face – maybe there will be a color that will compliment and surprise you.
The way to check your skin tone is by using the veins in your hands. Put your palms up and look at the bottom of the wrist. What color are your veins? Blue or purple veins show that your skin undertone is cool, green or yellowish veins mean that your skin undertone is warm.
