Iran threatens ‘total annihilation’ if US strikes continue

A former commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a stark warning to the United States, threatening a dramatic escalation in military action if American attacks persist. Mohsen Razaei stated on Friday that should US strikes continue over the coming days, Iran would move beyond its current posture of deterrence and mutual retaliation into what he described as a phase of “attack and total annihilation” of its adversaries.
