Israel ‘in the dark’ as Mossad probes Iranian link to flydubai hijacker

Breaking

Israeli officials have revealed they lack information about a potential Iranian connection to Hamam al-Hammami, the Omani co-pilot involved in the recent flydubai terror hijacking incident. Mossad is currently investigating possible links between the hijacker and Iran, but no definitive conclusions have been reached.

An Israeli official stated: “There is no information that can rule out or confirm an Iranian connection to or involvement with” al-Hammami. This uncertainty reflects the ongoing nature of the investigation and the complexity of establishing definitively whether state actors were involved in the incident.

The investigation is significant given regional tensions and the potential implications if Iranian involvement is confirmed. Meanwhile, reports indicate that Israel’s Transportation Ministry had rejected Shin Bet assistance in securing foreign flights prior to the hijacking, raising questions about security preparedness.
