Jerusalem police disperse Haredi light rail protesters with riot control

Police in Jerusalem’s Jeremiah Street district used riot control measures including stun grenades and water cannons to disperse Haredi protesters opposing light rail construction through ultra-Orthodox neighbourhoods. According to reports from Ynet and Walla, officers from the Yasam tactical unit and Magav border police engaged with demonstrators who were blocking traffic and causing damage to property in what police declared an illegal assembly.
