Knesset member switches to far-right party ahead of elections

Boaz Kalich Knesset member Gisele Gutalib has defected from Likud to join Otzma Yehudit, the party led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, ahead of upcoming parliamentary elections. Gutalib cited concerns she would not enter the next Knesset and face Shin Bet interrogation without parliamentary immunity. Ben Gvir predicted the move would bring two additional seats to the party and promised Gutalib a ministerial position in a future government.
