A large wildfire broke out today near residential buildings in Yifiya, a village close to Nazareth in northern Israel. Firefighting aircraft were mobilised to prevent the flames from spreading further into populated areas, as ground crews worked to contain the blaze.Firefighters battled to stop the fire’s expansion whilst simultaneously extinguishing several burning vehicles and a residential property. The situation prompted authorities to deploy aircraft from the Elad squadron, which conducted bombing runs on the fire’s hotspots whilst ground-based firefighting teams continued their efforts on the ground. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and authorities have not released information on any injuries or the total area affected by the blaze.
