Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived today (Wednesday) to comfort mourners in Bnei Brak at the family of the late Rabbi Gershon Edelstein , the leader of the Lithuanian community who passed away.

Netanyahu told the rabbi's family and his students: "This is a very great loss. He made a huge impression on me, I'm not saying this from the outside, he spoke from the bottom of his heart about his commitment to education, I think he saw it as the thread of existence."

He added: "A man of such stature, it is a privilege to speak with him, every minute you students were in his presence is a great privilege. With God's help, you will never know sorrow again."
