Palestinian man disguised as ultra-Orthodox Jew arrested for burglary in Jerusalem

Breaking

Israeli police arrested a 29-year-old West Bank resident on Saturday night on suspicion of burglary and theft in the Gilo neighbourhood of Jerusalem. The suspect was disguised as an ultra-Orthodox Jewish man, wearing a black and white suit, hat, and false sidelocks (payot).

Officers from the Moriah police station responded to the scene where a civilian had detained the suspect. A search conducted with the suspect’s consent recovered stolen property and burglary tools.

The case highlights the use of disguise in criminal activity and raises security concerns regarding access to Jerusalem neighbourhoods.
