Qatar and Pakistan propose nuclear monitoring framework for Iran in exchange for frozen funds

Breaking

Qatar and Pakistan have proposed a framework to transfer accumulated interest on six billion dollars of frozen Iranian funds held in Qatari banks to Iran, in exchange for secret inspections by International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors at Iranian nuclear sites, according to reporting by Al-Araby Al-Jadeed on Tuesday.

The proposal was reportedly transmitted to senior officials in Tehran by Pakistani military commanders. The initiative represents an attempt by regional mediators to facilitate nuclear oversight while providing financial relief to Iran.

This development comes amid ongoing international efforts to manage Iran’s nuclear programme and prevent further escalation in the region, particularly following recent military tensions.
