Hundreds of family members and relatives of abductees along with supporters are now (Thursday) alternately blocking Sderot Shaul Hamelech in Tel Aviv in front of Sha'ul Shaul Gate of the Kriya, demanding the immediate release of their loved ones. The demonstrators announced that they will continue to demonstrate against the backdrop of the convening of the War Cabinet and the expanded cabinet today, and will not let up until they receive news about the return of their loved ones. "We can't wait any longer, they are in hell and get them out of there," cried one of the protesters who painted her face red.
"Save those who are still possible": the friends of the abductees speak
A senior member of Likud responds to Hamas: "We are ready for direct negotiations with the Palestinians and the Arab League"
The families blocked the gate near Hatofim Square in the Tel Aviv Museum. Some of the demonstrators wore sticky tape over their mouths and wrote "Save", others painted themselves red and also some tied their hands with ropes. The protesters demand a deal now and not to go into action in Rafah, which they claim could lead to the killing of more abductees. The police are not intervening for the time being, the demonstrators are blocking and releasing the axis alternately and telling the drivers: "You are hot waiting in traffic, there are 133 kidnappings and kidnappers who are now living in hell."
The protest is taking place against the background of a huge screen that was placed in front of the Shaul Gate, on which the words of Hirsch Goldberg-Pollin, who is a prisoner of Hamas and whose video from the captivity was published yesterday, are constantly being broadcast.
Mor Korngold , the brother of Tal Shoham who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Bari, told "Maariv" decisively: "The families of the abductees cannot wait any longer. The abductees in Gaza live in Russian roulette. There is no victory without the return of all the abductees and the abductees. It is a complete loss."
He expressed concern about the IDF's action in Rafah: "The fighting in the Gaza Strip must be stopped, which is not actually going on anyway. Action would endanger the abductees again. We have been waiting for half a year and must return them now."
Ella Ben Ami , the daughter of Ohad Ben Ami who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Bari, told "Maariv": "We demand them at home and now. All the kidnapped, before there are more dead. We can't wait, every day they are in hell. We have been waiting for six months, already 202 days have passed. We want them now before there are more dead."
This is against the background of the reports about the preparations to enter Rafah , and against the background of the sign of life distributed yesterday by the terrorist organization Hamas, of Hirsch Goldberg-Poland , in which he calls on the Israeli government to return him home. Hersh's family agreed to use the video and show it to citizens, and called on the countries involved to sit down again for negotiations regarding the hostage deal. They called to their son: "Stay strong, you will survive."
The head of the field of prisoners and missing persons in the army, Gal Hirsch , met today with the families of the abductees at their headquarters in Tel Aviv. As mentioned, they expressed concern in the event that they would have to choose – either an operation in Rafah or the release of the hostages, and Hirsch replied that "it is not contradictory. I told the media myself – Rafah is the next mission", it was reported.
According to the reports and explanations, most of the abductees are now in Rafah – a stronghold of the terrorist organization. From there, the two abductees Fernando Simon and Luis Herr were also rescued .
Last night, some members of abducted families and activists of the Order 9 movement came to block the aid trucks . The activists followed the trucks for about two hours until they reached the Tel Arad junction, where they blocked their traffic for several hours. After the security forces that were there evacuated the blockers, they continued to block the trucks at other intersections on their way to the Gaza Strip, among others at the Sarah intersection. Towards seven o'clock in the morning, the aid trucks managed to pass the Mochim and are now on their way to Gaza.
