Sprayed a female security guard and bit a policeman: a 19-year-old Haifa resident was arrested on suspicion of assault

A 19-year-old resident of Haifa was arrested today (Thursday) on suspicion of attacking a security woman and police officers at the Independence Day events. The police investigation revealed that the young man tried to enter the celebration grounds in Haifa, but was refused due to the anti-procedural spray he was carrying with him.

After the refusal, the young man sprayed the security guard's face with a substance whose nature is not yet known. Policemen who were called to the scene were also attacked: the suspect cursed them and even bit one of them on the hand.

At the end of his investigation, he was released to his home under restrictive conditions. The investigation into his case continues.
