Paul belongs to the legume family – this means that it has a lot of high-quality vegetable protein, a lot of iron and can be used as a vegan substitute for the meat or fish portion of the meal.
It is very low in fat, high in dietary fiber which is important for a long feeling of satiety, it has a very low glycemic index so it is also recommended during diabetes. Of all the legumes, the green bean also contains fewer calories – only about 70 per 100 grams.
You can get dry beans, swell and cook like all legumes, but there are also green beans in the freezer available to prepare in two minutes, crispy and delicious, from which you can also make a "salad".
Boil for 2 minutes or heat in the microwave, add sugar-free sweet chili sauce, a drop of lemon juice, and some garlic crystals and you have a nice and healthy Paul salad.
