Shavuot is here, and this is a great opportunity to connect with nature in a festival that is full of songs of praise for the earth. As every year, the Modi'in region tourism association organizes the traditional Shavuot celebrations with the festival "A celebration in white in the Modi'in region". The festival, which will open on Monday, May 22, will offer a variety of agricultural experiences in the atmosphere of the holiday.

During the days of the festival, there will be a variety of agricultural tours: for example: in the hydroponic greenhouse of the Root and Leaf farm where you will hear all about hydroponic cultivation; A tour with Abi Mabaruch, the largest hummus grower in the country, you will find out what the hummus looks like before it reaches the box; Levin Farm will offer a professional tasting of award-winning olive oil.

At the Aladdin Olive Farm in Kfar Ruth, there will be an activity for the whole family following the seven species, where the children will prepare delicious pitas, hear about medicinal plants and plant in a pot to take one of those plants home with them. In the restored Hasmonean village of Shasilat, among ancient buildings and ancient tools, visitors will operate ancient grain vessels, prepare pitas with za'atar and in the Israeli monkey shelter they will go on a tour where they will be exposed to the exciting stories of the rehabilitation of the monkeys in the association. For culinary lovers: the women of the project "A meal from the books" will hold meals marked by travel stories, live jazz and oriental music shows will be held at the Netuf Winery along with wine, cheese and snack tastings, the Villa Wilhelma Winery will host in the winery's magical courtyard with their picnic basket, at the "Doron from Nature" dairy Visitors will be able to taste quality cheeses and yogurts from the milk of goats, sheep and cows grown on the premises and at the Markovich dairy specializing in sheep cheeses, they will be able to try original cheeses with special combinations of the seven species.
