Last night (Thursday) the release party for the new Sports Illustrated swimwear issue was held in New York, and the red carpet was attended by a variety of celebrities in a variety of quite different looks. Maybe even too much variety, from modest dresses to what looks like "I came out of the sea and threw something on myself so I wouldn't be naked".
Businesswoman, entrepreneur and food priest Martha Stewart arrived last night (Thursday) at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue release party in New York, and conquered the red carpet in a golden dress designed by the British designer Jenny Packham, beloved by the celebs.
The 81-year-old stars on the cover of "Sports Illustrated" – thus becoming the oldest model to appear on the coveted swimwear magazine. Stewart, posed for the cover in no less than ten swimsuits during the photo shoot held in the Dominican Republic.
Stewart's dress made her glow and look much younger, but some of the young women on the red carpet did the opposite of Stewart, arriving with the "more exposed = better" mindset.
A lot of familiar faces came to the event, some of whom arrived in excellent blocks, and some unfortunately – with the way they dressed, it would have been better if they had stayed at home. Among the standout looks was Megan Fox's semi-sheer dress and what looked more like a cover-up for a swimsuit than a dress on Tiktokker Olivia Ponton.
