The IDF has repositioned forces along the Yellow Line in southern Lebanon, withdrawing from a destroyed underground complex but maintaining presence in the Beaufort area. According to Ynet and Walla reports, Israeli forces will establish positions from which they can control terrain through observation and firepower, though they will continue to occupy the Beaufort compound.
Defence Minister Yoav Gallant declared: “Anyone who approaches Ali al-Tahir will be destroyed,” signalling continued Israeli military readiness in the region. The IDF stated it will continue operating with full force in the area.
The withdrawal comes as Israel awaits a possible response from Hezbollah or Iran. Multiple Israeli sources confirm the repositioning represents a tactical consolidation rather than a full retreat from southern Lebanese territory.
