In the North and South: These are the sites that will open to travelers

In accordance with the operational situation assessment, the IDF will allow the reopening of hiking trails in the north of the country that were designated as military areas closed to the general public during the war. Ultimately, the IDF decided that entry would not be permitted to cross-fence trails located in Israeli territory, including the Yarmouk River, the Hejaz Railway, and the border triangle area.

In the Southern Command, Route 10 will be open during the Passover holiday between April 15-16 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Zuz to Har Harif (the section is marked on the attached map).

The IDF asks the public not to enter the prohibited areas, and to allow the security forces to continue carrying out their missions. Any arrival at a military area requires prior coordination and approval. Arrival at a military area without prior coordination and approval endangers the safety of travelers. Likewise, travelers who encounter a fall, ammunition, or a suspicious object are asked to stay away from it and report it to the Southern Command immediately.

The IDF continues to train in the firing areas in the south and north of the country during Passover. In light of this, some of the firing areas will remain closed to tourists and some of the firing areas will be opened in the south of the country to tourists. The areas that are permitted and prohibited for entry, in addition to the schedules, are shown on the attached map. Tourists' entry into the permitted areas will be possible with coordination at least three days in advance.

On April 14-15 (Monday-Tuesday), the event "This Passover, we are moving north" will be held in cooperation with the Northern Command, Midreshet Keshet Yehonatan and the Golan, and local authorities.

The event includes hiking trails that were closed following the war and were designated as a closed military area and are now reopened to the general public until further notice. In addition, there will be points from which hikes and tours will depart, where you can hear the war stories of Operation 'Northern Arrows' and 'Arrow of Bashan' directly from IDF commanders who took part in the fighting from the Western Galilee to the Golan Heights.

The IDF asks the public not to enter the prohibited areas, and to allow the security forces to continue to carry out their missions. Arrival at a military area without prior coordination and approval endangers the safety of travelers. It should be emphasized that each station is backed by security and full medical response.
