Police responded to multiple emergency calls after a man made threats to plant an explosive device at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home. Mahmoud Amlajeid from Eilat made 14 calls to the emergency services centre (100), during which he claimed to have placed an explosive device near the Prime Minister’s residence.

On the same night, the suspect travelled on a bus in Haifa and assaulted two people. He was subsequently arrested by police at the scene.

During interrogation, the suspect refused to cooperate with a Jewish investigator. An indictment has been filed against him on 14 counts including threats and assault.

Police treated the bomb threat with full seriousness and responded with emergency protocols. The Prime Minister’s residence was secured as a precautionary measure whilst the threat was being investigated.
