Man arrested after threatening to place bomb near Prime Minister’s residence

Mahmoud Amlajid from Eilat was arrested after making 14 separate calls to emergency services 100, during which he threatened to have planted an explosive device near Prime Minister Netanyahu’s residence.

In the same night, the suspect drove in a minibus in Haifa and attacked two individuals. He was detained and initially refused to be questioned by a Jewish investigator, citing discriminatory grounds.

An indictment was filed against him for 14 counts of threats and assault. The incident prompted heightened security measures for national security figures.
